Probably the first time I've seen an actual live in-car shot of a car slamming
into the wall, instead of a replay. Smack!

Thumbs up the the TV director and his timing, thumbs down to JV.

Aside from that, from what I've seen it looks like there's been considerable
resurfacing on the course since last year which has caused grief for several
drivers and Villey caught the marbles in this case.

What happned to him? Was he trying to pass a back marker, goes off in
the marbles and just slid into the wall? His front wheels went
straight towards the wall.

He had to step out smartish - and not the first driver to have to do so
- to avoid the ridiculously slow Ralf Schumacher. In the circumstances,
I am a little surprised Ralf wasn't black flagged, because he was a
bloody menace out there today. He almost caused a high speed crash for
Alonso, and he did cause Villeneuve's crash.

Thumbs up... I think Villeneuve is lucky he didn't break any fingers by
keeping his hands on the wheel as the accident occurred. If could have been
thumbs flap not thumbs up.

I don't think he had any time to react, he was trying to control the car right
up to the bitter end because it happened suddenly.

Be fair to JV - he had to take evasive action to avoid hitting the
ridiculously slow Ralf Schumacher. Why Ralf wasn't black flagged is a
mystery to me. Why he's still got a drive for next year is even more
astonishing.
