Hi, I am an infrequent visitor here but I hope you can help me out. The needle on the speedo in my 04 LaSabre is not returning to 0 mph. the speedo seems to work relative to where the needle is until it tops out way past the marked range of mph. if I turn the car off, the needle kicks back 5 -7- mph and eventually I can get it to 0 mph but as soon as it runs, it stays at the highest mph I went. it seems like there is a ratchet/pawl mechanism that is not releasing but I doubt that is a cause. The tach did the same thing for a short while last week but it is back to normal. any thought/suggestions would be welcomed. thanks for your time, peter |
