According to Honda Civic 2001 manual after 48,000km (mine now 47500) I have to do these things beside changing the oil rotate tires. 1) Inspect and adjust drive belts 2) Replace air conditioning filter 3) Replace air condition cleaner element. For sure you should do 2 and 3 yourself. 2) this requires no tools, just follow the instructions in the manual to swap out the AC filter 3) this is also very easy, look at the manual to see where to unscrew the bolts and swap out the air filter. |

Thanks for the info, buddy. But swapping out the AC filter still doesn't require any tools. |

Possibly not, but, to get to the A/C filtre does require the use of a screwdriver. To remove the glove compartment. |

I want to do these by myself this time. I am not sure what of these I can do it at home (with help from car manual, instructions from you/websites etc) and which one can not be done at home (I suspect the first one). The reason I want to do it beside saving money, learn something, and I have the time to do it, so why not. Any help/direction/advice etc about how to do all these above would be very much appreciated. No. 1 open hood and look at belts with the motor running.. look to see |
