Good day Honda afficiados
My 94 civic temperature control slider is messed up from me forcing it
(after 8 years of pushing it over slowly and playing with the fan speed
control to get it to slide) I know from sitting in some other folks similar
year civics this heat slider control problem is not an uncommon. |
You need to remove the center console with the ashtray etc. One screw
on each side, one in each top corner. Unplug wire harness to lighter
Then you need to remove the stereo, screws at the rear of the stereo
accessible from below. Unplug main connector and antenna connector and
remove stereo.
Then remove the heater control head, one screw at the rear accessible
from below. Unplug one or two connectors. Pay attention to heater cable
going down towards the glove-box side of the dash and over to the air
handler. There is a separate control cable going from the air handler
over to the valve in the coolant line.
This link is for stereo installs, it has good instructions and pictures
for removing the console and stereo.
