I got three keys w/ my 03 Accord for free. Why would you need more then that? But the dealer did say a new one w/ the fob would be 145 each and a non fob valet key would be 45 or so. My last car had this anti theft in it too and a regular locksmith made one for 20 bucks or less if I remember correctly. I know it adds to the cost, but I do like the remote in the key. I'm so tired of those extra fobs or the bulky folding key and remote that my Passat uses. I take it you can get a non-remote key made. That would be like the valet key only of course with the full key cut. You leave the key in the car? I also used the fob to leave the key in the ignition so I could leave it in accessory so I could charge my cell phone as the 12v outlet is only hot when the key is on for some stupid reason so my phone never charges fully. Just my two cents. Jim "TL" <tlehman (AT) visi (DOT) com> wrote in message news:u3q7kvg8l7ha428kq0kmh1kunenfqvfqla (AT) 4ax (DOT) com... Yes, I leave the key in the car so the cell phone will charge because the 12v only comes on when the key is on assy mode for some silly reason I'm sure. Old cars it was always hot so you could use it w/o the key. I don't do this in any area where it's unsafe. At work sometimes where just to get on campus is a circus and then there's cameras and people around and everyone knows my car - close knit. The other place is at home. We live in a safe neighborhood (I know - no neighborhood is 100% safe). I'm considered secure by some neighbors standards. We all still leave doors open and unlocked - garage up when not around w/ tools - bikes etc in them etc. Lots leave their car windows down and keys on daily so they'd get their cars first.
