The drawing at Majestic's online site shows the CR-V 2002 EX model's drain plug
to be on the back of the oil pan. See

In this vein: I replaced the oil pan gasket on my 1991 Civic this past summer.
When looking at the oil pan (off the car), I was surprised at how much slope is
built into it to ensure the sludge accumulates at the drain plug opening and as
much oil as possible drains out through the drain plug during oil changes. It's
a lot of slope.

My mother in law just moved into area. She has a CR-V 2002 model. My wife
wants me to change her oil. No problem but will my ramps create too much
slope. I don't want to leave half a quart of dirty oil. Both of my autos
have the drain in the back so being on incline is good. |
