How much of the $1240 is parts vs. labor? [a rhetorical question]

Regardless which is which, it sounds pretty high all together.

If it's mostly the part's cost (VERY hard to believe), then you either
go ahead and get it or sell the car without it, of course telling
prospective buyers about the problem....maybe someone will undertake
the mission to find a replacement modulator.

If it's mostly labor (also hard to believe), then you could do it
yourself and save all that. Buy the modulator new or, off a wrecked
car in a yard...after all, you're going to sell it and just want a
working one. Get someone to find one for you if you can't do it and
pay him a "finder's fee" for doing so.

Still, if you just can't help but get stuck for $1240, then I'm not
sure it'd be wise to pay that much and get it the modulator replaced:
On an "old" model like a '93, you probably couldn' get an awful lot
for the car in the first place, let alone recoup on top of that the
$1240.

I think your best option would be to visit the largest junk yard in your
area and get one off of a wrecked Accord. Some junk yards are on some sort
of network where they are linked with thousands of other junk yards. If
they don't have a wrecked 93 Accord--they can get the part for you from
another junk yard on their network. They may also give you free advice on
how to install it.

An ABS modulator from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com runs about $733. If I
remember correctly, there's a special bleeder wrench that's needed to bleed off
the high pressure brake fluid. You could probably find this at a tool dealer or
autoparts store. A service manual might not be a bad idea either,
http://www.helminc.com. Since the OP wants to sell the car, then a used
modulator might work and the service info could possibly be acquired from a
manual available in used book store or at a library. Better yet, try
http://www.honda.co.uk/owner/AccordManual/.
