So I should spend $25K now to insure against a possible future cost
which could not possibly exceed $4K? You really are a car salesman.

That reminds me of another reason why I seldom buy a new (or used)
car...

No I could not buy the moon, nor would I want to buy the moon. But I do
enjoy my three Fords and three Lincolns as much as I did my numerous Toyotas
and Lexus, going back to a 1957 Toyapet. The only difference I have found,
between what were all great cars, is the Fords and Lincolns cost me thousand
less to buy, and hundred less to service than when I was buying Toyotas and
Lexus cars

In fact one of the few cars I owned that ever had a major problem, among all
of the cars and trucks I have owned, was a Honda, that blew and oil seal and
fried the engine, when one of my grand daughters was driving it on an
interstate. I had to start litigation to get Honda to replace the engine,
on her a one year old car with less than 10K on the clock

Well, that's fortunate since you can only afford to buy a Ford now.

Even if what you believe were true, I would be buying a new Ford before the
end of the year, not a used foreign car LOL

We understand, Mike. You can't afford a new Honda and your ego won't
allow you to buy a used one.

I drove hondas all my life Im 37 years old and I love them . I drove a
Ford fusion at a test track in georgia and the CAR LITERALLY BLEW ME
AWAY . The way it handles outclasses every honda, camry, acord Ive ever
driven . Both the camry and accord are very mushy in corners and have a
marsmellowy feel . While the Fusion is very tight ,precise ,smooth and
handles extremly well. The cabin was quiet and I didnt hear alot of
engine noise. But for me I like to hear the engine a little . The
fusion IMO not only blows away the camry and accord. The camry & accord
shouldt even be in the same category as the fusion , its an insult to
the fusion. Ford did there homework on the fusion and they got it right.
And this is coming from a longtime Honda enthusiast. Im jumpin ship as I
think most honda engines have too little torque and there suspension
have become too mushy. I think honda has rested on there laurels of name
brand recognition. Id be proud to own a fusion. Or even a Dodge srt-4 .
Over any Honda-Toyota nowadays. The days of the crappy pintos and pacers
are over. American brand cars have caught up and surpassed many foreign
makers. The sales numbers dont show that yet..becasue the rest of the
world hasnt figured that out just yet. Because like me they were brand
loyal.

Why would I want another Honda when the 2002 I owned was one of the few, of
the many new vehicles I have owned, that was problematic?

I have a 2008 Lincoln MKZ on order. One of my neighbors is like you, he is
buying my used 2006 Zephyr because he can not afford a 2008 MKZ

Not like me. I would never buy a crappy ford. Sorry you can't afford
a Honda.
