A friends daughter has a 1990 Honda Civic(1500 engine with PGM-FI) , manual tranny, with a little over 100K miles. The timing belt and O2 sensor have been changed, and the ECM shows no error codes. On take off, or changing from 1st to 2nd the car sometimes feels like there is a bit of stall or hesitation. Runs great otherwise, but the kid is a little concerned. If there is a "real" problem, I can not get the car to misbehave for me, I suspect the ignitor is going flaky. I suspect that as a new driver she is just not giving opening the throttle enough. Any thoughts on what could cause this symptom and how to check it? Thanks Terry |
