98 Keyless entry on Civic LX

I'm sure this has been asked 10k times,
but if I still have the factory stereo in my 98 Civic LX,
and purchase a remote off the internet, I can use it to remotely unlock my
doors right? no added parts? Just the remote?

YES... Just be sure that the FCC ID# on the remote matches the one
that is needed for your car.
