At dealer inventory web search sites like
http://www.elkgrovehonda.com/powersearch.cfm colors for cars listed as in
stock are shown in code, the first two letters apparently standing for the
exterior color, followed by a / mark, and then two more letter which I guess
stand for the interior color.

Which color, in words, do each of these exterior color codes represent?

BX
BS
BU
GY
WH
SI

I wrote an email to Elk Grove Honda in Elk Grove, CA asking this question.
Two days later I got an reply saying why don't I come over there and look at
the cars.

I went to Mel Rapton Honda in Sacramento, CA and asked the showroom salesman
the same question. He had no idea, and his dealership doesn't offer such a
display on line of his inventory (though many other dealers on the web do).

The color charts in dealer showrooms have word names for each color, but no
codes. Window stickers don't show the color codes either, only list the
colors in words.

So - maybe someone here really knows? No guessing, please. For example, I
don't think SI stands for silver, but rather may stand for atomic blue or
some such. So WH may not mean white, either.

If anyone can find a source for authoritative information about these color
codes, please tell us where that is.

If all else fails, I'll have to phone Honda's toll free number for customer
service, but I suspect nobody there will know, either.

BX: Crystal Black Pearl
BS: Atomic Blue Metallic
BU: Magnetic Pearl
GY: Polished Metal Metallic
WH: Spectrum White Pearl
SI: Alabaster Silver Metallic
