question re damage to struts from lowering - 07-16-2003 , 02:16 PM

I lowered my 93 Accord last year and want to return it to factory
spec. Just before lowering I put on new struts. I was told that
lowering severely damages the struts and when I return to factory
specs I will need to get new struts.

Does this sound right?
