Most of the shitty cars comes to us in the States. Most of the shitty cars are
made in the States. Parts don't mix across the pond. Don't bother importing.

I was just wondering whether honda civics in USA and honda civics in Europe
were same. If its same, im thinkin shipping a 2001 civic EX from USA to
Europe. Ive got a great deal for a 01 civic EX. If it is not same then it
would not be worth shipping it because i wouldnt be able to find right parts
for it when something happens in europe.

And depending on where you'll be driving it, there might be a wee bit of
fabrication required to move the steering wheel and other driver controls to
the other side...

They have couple of engines we don't have here and some body configuration
we don't have here. The models vary in different countries.
They have 3 door and 5 door hatchbacks, similar to the SI hatchback here.
Then, some countries have the Coupe, same as 2 door here while some other
have the 4 door.
Check different sites:
www.honda.fr
www.honda.de
www.honda.pl
This gives you France, Germany and Poland.
Then there will be several laws/regulation to which an american Civic will
not comply.
IMO not worth the trouble.

Just a guess. Are you military just going to Europe for a couple of
years? IF so then you are exempt from those "laws" someone mentioned
before.

If you buy a Civic there, then you're gonna have trouble trying to bring
it back here to the States.

Also IF you are military the Honda dealers near the military bases are
quite familiar with US Spec Hondas.

Thank you all for your responses. You are right, it isn't worth the
trouble. I better sell my civic here and buy another one when i am in
Europe.

Don't need to do that. Most RHD countries allow LHD cars.
