Default resetting oil change service light on a 06 Pilot - 10-06-2008 , 08:13 AM

I normally do my own oil changes. The free dealer oil changes have run out
and I want to do my 06 Pilot. How do I reset the service needed indicator
after i change the oil?

What does the owner's manual say?

What's that? You don't know where it is? You threw it away because,
after all, you know how to drive a car?

Really?
Okay, Al. That's one. Five more.

I honestly thought that this information was somehow "proprietary" and would
be only found in shop manuals and such because they actually want you to
have to pay for oil changes...

"They" is American Honda Motor Company who mfrs the car. Service work is
performed by Honda dealers. They are independent businesses who have a
contract with AHMC to sell their cars for which they are paid a fee in
addition to anything they can make by selling the car to you for more than
they paid AHMC for it. Dealers also perform warranty work for which AHMC
pays them.
