What a pitiful turnout. When I used to go you had to ride the buses to
the track and plan on an all day event. With 10k you could go watch at
noon for 2 hours and when it got hot you could leave and come back for
the real qualifying late in the day. My company used to give good
customers pole day tickets and fly then to Indy. The best customers
went to the 500.

These days it's Daytona for the customers. One guy asked me if they
still ran at Indy.

That was back in the dark days when people only could get three channels

ask to
go to Daytona and not Indy are stupid customers.

Please note that the dot crossposts to rec.auto.sport.cart on each of
'its' posts regardless of whether the original post included that ng
or
not.
That's 'its' way of making sure 'its' posts are seen by a much larger
number of people than visit rec.autos.sport.indy

Wrong yet again (as if it were any longer necessary
to even state), not only is that not my motivation,
but there exist far more posts (for those that can
distinguish the difference, very much unlike the OP)
in rasi than there are in rasc. There are almost zero
posts and replies from denizens in the latter group
that don't also post/reply to the former.

It IS your habit to cross-post as your reply indicates. So you're not
only trying to grab attention by cross-posting, but you're starting the
process so that threads get cross-posted.

That makes you a liar. But that's also not a surprise to anyone on
either group.

Wrong yet again. I've many prior times addressed
my multiple reasons for doing so, but despite being
spoon fed, you're still not even close. And coming
from a pusillanimous, addlepated, mental defective,
nincompoop, incompetent, pathological lying loser
like you, those risible censures and assertions carry
such IMMENSE ersatz significance.

And yet another cross-post. Liar.

Dolt!
And another cross-post from the liar. You don't have any credibility
anyway.

Why don't you just go back to being the Andretti family blow whore.

Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V.

Having a little trouble coming up with something new, dotbot?

And yet ANOTHER cross-post with an attempt to direct a reply to dotbot's
home newsgroup alt.support.ocd.

Go back to being the Andretti family blow whore.

Wanting to go to either isn't the best. One place you get that awful
restrictor plate racing. Us old guys that still remember how good
Daytona used to be prior to the plates, its a pack waiting for the big
one, with no way to pass.

Indy is where its at if you like girls driving that have modeled.
Times have indeed changed and so has Indy. One thing about Indy now
is that there seems to be plenty of good seats still available. There
was a time that tickets were sold out the day after the race. Hmm and
the IRL was formed and they have had problems selling tickets every
since. Hmmm I wonder why? Watch pole day in 95?? No seats available
on the front straight at all. Bump day in 95? Big crowd and they had
real bumps not the garbage they have now. Back then if a car got
bumped, it was done. Remember that? Can't do that now though because
there aren't enough cars.

Which one would I send my customers too? Neither. I can think of
many places that have better racing than either one.

Send them to Monaco then.

Don't need to do that either. There are plenty of races that would be
better right here in the US. None of them are IRL races, and it
wouldn't be Daytona or Dega if it were a Nascar event. Still no
comment about the 500? Can you name 3 things that have improved in
open wheel racing since the formation of the IRL? Sure isn't ticket
sales. It isn't TV ratings. What could it be??

I can name 3 events that you said wouldn't happen that did happen.
