The IRL has an eleven-year history. Champ Car/CART has 30 years.

TV contracts? That's all based on networks getting rights to one race.

Exposure is all based on the Indy 500. There's no interest in the rest
of the races

Viewers? What viewers!? TV ratings are pathetic. That's why without
the Indy 500, IRL TV contracts would be based on how much the IRL would
pay to get some time. Like Champ Car.

Current and future opportunities? What might those be? Except words to
fill your claim. Current opportunities? There is no current
opportunity. Future opportuinities? What are they?

Recent history? Who cares. There isn't enough interest to have an
interesting recent history. There are no interesting recent historical
events.

So the IRL has no bargaining chips except the Indy 500. And watch out
because that's not anything near what it used to be.

That's the same package as Champ Car. Champ Car draws crowds to all its
races. I don't think the IRL can make the same claim.

I thought the IRL was surposed to be an all oval series. I count 5
road courses on that schedule. I also count 17 total races. So by my
count that is right at 30% of the entire season, including several new
events. It also includes one foreign race which wasn't the IRL
surposed to be a North American series?? hmmm What was that vision
again now??? I thought road racing was evil.
