The difference is that the IRL can negotiate based on TV rights to the Indy 500. Without that jewel, the IRL wouldn't have any bargaining chips. |

Without the IRL's teams, owners, drivers, venues, sponsors, vendors, viewers, TV contracts and exposure, current and future opportunities and recent history, it "wouldn't have any bargaining chips", what it in fact would instead be is chumpcar. |

I count 5 road courses on that schedule. I also count 17 total races. So by my count that is right at 30% of the entire season, including several new events. It also includes one foreign race which wasn't the IRL surposed to be a North American series?? hmmm What was that vision again now??? I thought road racing was evil. |
