And we haven't seen F1 drivers storm down the pit lane and enter another
team's garage after an incident?

There's a big difference between a seriously pissed-off adult storming
down pit lane after a serious incident and an overgrown angry child
stomping her feet because she's upset over... whatever.

Now--I'm not defending her--I think her antics are a distraction and she
needs to be taught a lesson via fines, etc to put an end to it; that
crap may fly in karting, but at the "top" levels of racing, civility
should be applied (e.g. take it behind closed doors and have a
discussion, not a shouting match). [sadly though, it seems that such
action is considered "exciting" and gobbled up by the public {not just
the American public...}]

On a more technical note: the only advantage she might have is
weight--they'll be better able to move more weight where they want on
the car... (although, her ego might make the cockpit a bit top-heavy...)
She would have that advantage along with being free of the obstructions
that could be caused by Jenson Button's 'airbag problem'

You never know.

I seem to recall a few years back when she was a darling of the CARTesians.
My, how the worm has turned.

Apologies to the Paganites, but this is too funny. She can't even get
a real win in the IRL and some buffoon wants to send her to F1???

Come on, she can't even *win* more than once every couple of years on an
oval. That's not even an indication of a possibility of skills. Any driver
that's done the switch and got anywhere won the season. Even Villeneuve
did that, and he didn't turn out to be anything fantasic after his first
year. She'd be worse than Sato ever was. She's reached as far as she's
ever going.

They also mention Scott Speed. He's got an even *worse* chance. He belongs
in NASCAR. He's got the temperment for nothing else. He's (meaning his
source and the reporter for not checking these things) apparently a bit
clued out about the finances as well. Ron Dennis is *not* the top
voting shareholder for Mclaren. Does Jordan even *exist* any more?

Reviewing her IRL stats shows this:

2005 1st place in Rookie standings.
2006 9th overall
2007 7th overall
2008 6th overall, with 1 win (Japan 300).

Only ones generally ahead of her are:
Dan Whelden
Tony Kanaan
Sam Hornish Jr.
Helio Castroneves
Scott Dixon
Dario Franchitti, although he had a terrible 2008.

F1 could do far worse than Danica Patrick with A.J. Foyt Jr., Ryan
Hunter-Reay, or Marco Andretti. Any of those would be "What's an F1
series?"

Besides, I doubt if anyone hasn't watched her antics for their entertainment
value - perhaps more than once in rewind or YouTube. Makes good press. Or
would you rather be so pious to watch the race with someone curtseying,
crying, and apologizing for knocking them off the track? Let them get
angry! It would be very boring without it.

Okay, she looks better in a bathing suit too.

Mack

Hey--she could be her own "grid girl" each week... (or would they have
to have a "grid guy" for her?

I, for one, look forward to "CARTesian Coordinates," the adult
alternative to Garanimals.

Who got a F1 test. IMHO the best driver in Indy right now.

Others above may have, I can't recall at the moment.

So would anyone in NASCAR - ignoring the fact that their crews watch the
F1 races. Granted it ain't what it once was, but they're still bad enough
cars to blow anything else out of the water. Nothing comes close to their
lateral acceleration. Marco is like George the third - related to someone
great, but not quite up to snuff. You can't have decent drivers by
heredity alone.

Dubious in an age of reality TV with such nonsence as "Paris' new BFF" and
the junk they have on SPEED these days.

I still think I'd rather see Amanda Cope than her.

Point noted (although, did you see the SI video... just don't look at
her face....)
