How did Hornish pass up Andretti like that on a straighaway? It looked
like he pushed a nitro button or something!

Simple Hornish has been the fastest in just about every session all
month. The Penske cars had cleaner aero than the AGR cars. When a more
aero car comes up on a lesser one it picks up a good bit of pull and
just slipsteams by.

Not to mention that Marco's weaving likely scrubbed off a bit of speed.

Does it seem to anyone else that the Andrettis were alluding to some
cheating by Hornish?

It's always fun to watch all these guys with extra aces up their
sleeves pointing fingers at each other.

I like to think that the Andrettis were cheating so much that they
absolutely *know* someone who blows past like they're tied to a stump
probably has a second engine hidden somewhere in the car.

BTW, any word yet on Gordon's suspension collapsing at Charlotte? I
didn't notice the other, legal, cars collapsing.

Yep. If Marco had blocked him all the way, he'd have won. He might have been
sliding along on his butt with his car in a zillion pieces, but he'd have
been the winner.

But that Sam is one slick racer, and I don't think Marco could have
blocked him without it being a punishable block (or is blocking only
prohibited in the turns? Are the sporting regs anywhere to be found
online? The indycar.com site sucks). If that had been the case, he would
have won, then been penalized and be stripped of his win, and it would
have been one big shame.
