What are you doing here, asshole?

How about the three CCWS races?

He's pulling a TG...not calling back...

VF and TG ARE on the same page.

They might even be the same person...

VF is just a young teenage liar.

Even VF isn't THAT stew pud.

Asked if he would consider competing at this year's

As Mr. George continues to inform them, that
despite their ongoing pleas, they have absolutely
nothing of value to offer that the IRL either needs,
wants or would lower themselves to even accept.

I think it's more along the lines of TG being too stupid and pigheaded
to realize the potential if that were to happen.

Plus you know TG would not allow a CC driver to win.

Allow them to WIN ?!?!?!
To finish first, you must first finish.
They can't make it to the end of the race.

Well, when there's rolling chicanes like Foyt the 4 on track, It's a
wonder that anyone finishes the race...

And yet the winner, other podium finishers,
those most competitve, the veterans, and
at least the VAST majority of the also-rans,
weren't in any manner affected. Quite telling.

Furthermore, I'm sure when KK asked TG about CC running indy, TG
muttered "ummmmmm I don't know".

The reports are tantamount to TG telling
CC, to shove it, take a hike, go fly a kite

spin, spin spin.

TG was too chickenshit to pick up the phone and call KK back.

In all seriousness, it would be too dangerous for the club racers from
ChampCar to race
with the men in the IRL at the 500. Maybe someday the club racers will gain
the talent to run with
Hornish, Marco, and the rest of the big boys. But right now, club racers
running the Indy 500 would be like pop warner football players taking on the
Indianapolis Colts. The little boys in ChampCar are going to get hurt.

I seem to remember that said a few years back. The rookie fired back
with "These cars are so stuck to the ground my grandmother could drive
one." Oh the outcry of he is going to get hurt. This place will bite
you. (which it will if you aren't prepared for the challenges it
brings) Well seems like that rookie did ok. You can find his face on
the Borg Warner trophy. How many champ car drivers have run Indy
since the split? Almost all finished in the top 10 with almost no
testing. Those that didn't either broke or were crashed out by IRL
regulars that a real case could be made for them being in over their
head. To make matters worse the speedway effectively had to cheat to
make sure an IRL regular won over another Champ Car regular.

Handed to them?? Hardly. Free engines would be a reasonable and the
cheapest way to get a full field at Indy. But more than that it would
be so much better to have a quality field that bringing that number of
Champ Car drivers would provide. It might actual resemble Indy
again. You could actually make the claim of having a professional
field. You might see some real bumps but that might cause a problem.
What if one of those that didn't make the show was Milka?? That would
be terrible. Heaven forbid what if Danica couldn't get up to speed to
qualify?? How many extra cars would have to be started to get her in
the show? Would they just let her start 34th with a promoters
option? If they didn't let her run, just what would the TV booth talk
about?

Now for the tougher questions. Lets just say that instead of 6-8
drivers decided to come, what would happen if most of the field
decided to show? What would appear to insure the IRL regulars are
protected? There would have to be some version of 25 8 show up
again. Competition in the same cars, with the same engines is
exactly what they found so unfair and they felt the need to protect
IRL teams. Some version of 25 8 would have to reappear.

Even worse. Surpose another Champ Car team and driver won again.
Would they cheat again to deny the win to whoever it happened to be
that won it like they did with Paul Tracy? What they did to Paul in my
opinion is even worse than cheating. Even worse surpose it was not
Danica but Katherine Legge that won. How would that effect Danica
mania????

Not really surprising. In fact the May whine is starting later than
normal.

I dunno Dave, I tend to disagree.

I think KK thought up and proposed the idea -- far too much thinkin'
for Boy George. From then on Tony was begging -- no pleading for any
chance to fill out 33 cars.

Why it didn't happen was Tony sisters couldn't find any additional
money after funding most of the entries in one way or another.
