Compared to last season, the IRL TV ratings are down up to 80%. With a low of 0.3 which is about 70,000 households nationwide, it is getting more difficult to sell this series to the public. How can the IRL resolve this problem? |

For those who wish to view the IRL as simply a production cost and not pay attention to some of its great racing, I don't know anyone who would have a problem with that. If we've learned nothing else, it's that you can bring a CHUMP to a race but you can't force him to look at anything other than the grandstands. |

as you stated a LOW of 0.3 which was a cable event. of course the part you forgot to mentions it that on cable 0.3 is cart's HIGH rating with a low of 0.12. by the way the 0.3 is NOT 70,000 hh. now the cart 0.12 was 64,000 hh. |

Have you ever looked at the average ratings ? Who cares about highs and lows ? If CART's average is 0.98, does it matter if the IRL's is 1.12 ? If you think a 0.1 gap is anything to brag about, then, you really need to get a LIFE. Juan you are the one that is constantly berating the .3 low number that the irl got |

you are the one that is constantly berating the .3 low number that the irl got for it lowest event. i do not think you would want to go with averages either. while the irl numbers are lower this year. they are no where near as low as cart's has fallen from last year. in 2002 the network average between the two was very small with the irl winning. this year the gap on network has widen somewhat with the cable difference ballooning dramatically. |
