I recall drivers calling them exactly that going way back before they gave up the IndyCar moniker. I heard AJ Foyt call the ChampCars back in the 80s. The drivers clearly considered ChampCar or IndyCar the top rung in their careers. These names were interchangeable. You, Ken, and the other Earlers seem to be the only people obsessed with this issue. |
