Well, I've been reading more and more talk on the net about MotoGP coming to Indy. Today even Curt Cavin takes a guess and says he thinks it's safe to pencil in MotoGP at Indy late August 2008. I would hope they would bring in AMA Superbike like they do in California. Those MotoGP races are awesome. AMA Superbike is pretty darn cool too. |

It would also likely run counter-clockwise, which would carry over to the F1 race should they return. Interesting developments, but it looks like the circuit layout will still suck. |

The F1 circuit isn't Spa or Suzuka, but it isn't awful by modern standards. It would be nice if it had more fast curves. The biggest problem is that there aren't any elevation changes on the property. |

That's what it sounds like - not using the banked oval turn. And then F1 will run the same course the same way at MotoGP. Yes, the Indy F1 track is not great but it doesn't produce the 100% snooze fests that most of the other tracks do. Hopefully running in reverse will not take away the interesting races. With talk from Indy of F1 running in on the track in the opposite way I'm starting to think the speedway is planning on having F1 back after 2007. Anyway, I wonder how large the attendance would be at Indy for a MotoGP and AMA Superbike race. I assume MotoGP and AMA Superbike would give their right arm to race at Indy. |
