The entire P2 class as that's where the action's going to be. Leave the
boring quiet P1s alone
P1's, as in plural?
Oh yeah, Audi is bringing two cars.
You seem to have forgotten the Autocon & Intersport cars which are also
in P1 this season.

I want to see Peugeot's car, who, when I was there last year, said they
were coming but quietly decided not to come. So I'm going to the Champ
Car event instead.

The Acura's are interesting. I'll see them at LB and LS later this year.

Enjoy!

I don't believe the Peugeot will be there, but I will be sure to snap as
many shots of those Acuras as I can. Cheers!

Wow, how exciting.

I'm just bitter that they do not have more factory teams.. I count three:
Audi, Corvette, and Spyker, and none of them have factory competition in
their own class, unless you count the Panoz PTG effort in GT2.

It all depends on what you class as "factory", for instance a lot of the
team running the Audi R10s (and previously the R8s) are actually from
Champion Racing, not the Audi factory directly. Then you've got the
Acuras in P2, they in all but team names are factory efforts.

It's been suggested that it would be cool to take the air restrictors
off the Corvettes a few times and let them race the Audis straight up.

The Lola-Mazda P2s are pretty 'works' in the engine compartment, then
you have to consider Penske's relationship with Porsche too ;P

Exactly , it's all very blurry these days!

And for that matter the Astons are fairly factory too - and might be
even more so if Dave Richards succeeds in buying the firm out

According to the business part of Today on R4 this morning it is going to
happen. A figure of £500m was being talked about.

I heard yesterday through a fairly reliable backchannel at the Blue Oval
that the deal was probably going to be announced today but that Ford
were probably going to keep a non-trivial share of the company.
