Ever hear about the pushing deal between Foyt and Gurney in a VW race at the old Nassau Speedweeks? One of them had an illegally large engine, and pushed the other around. They finished 1-2. The pusher with the illegal engine was DQ'd, which they pretty much expected, but they split the first place money as planned. Anyone familiar with this tale (like do I have it close to correct?) please chime in. |
