Has Jeff won a road race since Robby signed with RCR? He had Watkins won

Oh, yeah. A bunch.
A bunch? What constitutes a "bunch"? Do you have any idea how long
Robby's been with RCR?

You're dreaming again.
You didn't see Harvick drop-kick Robby getting back on the lead lap
in the oh-so-recent past? Just before he (Robby) signed with Childress, in
fact.

Yep, Robby has been the class of the road courses for the last three

Man, you really don't know much about racing, do you?
Well, he follows NASCAR more closely than you do, that's obvious.

Yep. And do you know who he was with prior to RCR?

Don't care for prunes myself. If you like 'em, that's okay.

Who is the driver that has won the most NASCAR road course events in
the past 8 years?

Yes, but it's _totally_ irrelevant. How many road races has Jeff
Gordon won since Robby signed with RCR?

Irrelevant, since the question is how many has he won since R.
Gordon's been with Childress.

You're doing a very good impression of the McCauley shuffle here.

Oh, I see - My points and questions are irrelevant while yours are
somehow not?

The original point - from ?'s original post was that "Robby has been
the class of the road courses for the last three years," and that's
just not true.

He's good, and I'm a fan, but saying that Gordon and some other NASCAR
regulars are not comparative on a road course is ludicrous.

Now, I'll gladly answer your questions - when you answer mine.

That Robby had that race in the bag until he was punted by
back-marker Harvick?

So? As you would say, its irrelevant. Lots of drivers have lots of
races "in the bag" until something like that happens. Its all part of
the game. "Maybes" and "would'as" don't change how the win/loss column
is tallied up. Its like saying Gordon really "won" the Indy 500, but
he ran out of fuel. It doesn't put his name on the Borg-Warner, nor
does it make him the "class of" Indy.

If he is such a master of the twisties, how did he let Harvick do
somehting like that to him? Wasn't he faster, quicker, better and so
should have easily drove away from him? Avoided him? Punted Harvick?

No, its not, since the original issue is exactly "who" is the "class
of the field" in NASCAR on road courses.

Its a typicla Sweeney ploy. He is trying, vainly and stupidly, to slam
and denigrate NASCAR drivers and place Robby Gordon on a pedestal
above them just because he once drove in CART (however
unsuccessfully).
