What I fail to understand, and likely will
never comprehend is that when such
factors as engine leases, foreign races,
foreign drivers, big-money teams, etc were
present in CART, they were signs that
CART had lost the plot, and were a threat
to the longevity of open-wheel racing. Now
that these *exact* things are appearing within
the IRL, they are signs of a growing and vibrant series?
The difference is, with enough money, you could field
a team in the IRL capable of winning over the likes of Penske
and Panther.

Come up with the money and give me a call.

If you want to do the same in CART, give Carl Haas
a call and maybe he'll sell you what you need to beat him.

Penske has been beat 6 out of 7 times this season. Panther has been beat 7
out of 7. Make that annialated 7 out of 7 times.

Why call you?

He's sold it to Rahal, Fernandez, and Players who have been beat him 6 out
of 8 times this year.

What's the point you are trying to make?

Tom

Given the proper resources, all of which are available, you can put together
a winning team in big time open wheel racing. Sorry, I suppose CART was
a bad example.

I thought the IRL example was the worse of the two.

Hehehe, don't look now but...

Today? Yes.

Wasn't so in the past.

Today? Yes.

Wasn't so in the past.
Please elaborate.
That statement does not make any sense.

It's a complete rush.

Collecting, analyzing and reporting relevant data from a constantly changing
number of parameters gives me a rush.

Having one of my heros, a guy I used to watch while sitting in the stands,
ask me for help, that makes me feel special.
