It is one thing when an unbias reporters says such things about a
series. But when a paid employee of a series goes as far as suggesting
they call up TG and sell him their assets. Then you know it has be
worst than expected. There was some really revealing statements, such
as ccws informed Panoz to cease production since there will be no
other orders.

Perhaps Miller's check bounced and he is royally pissed.

And exactly what assets would they have to sell in the first place?
Office
equipment?

mmm....race track contracts, maybe?

Nope. Not even that. IRL-IMS-ISC has all the racetracks that they could
possibly need for ever and ever.

Do not kid yourself that the tattered remnants of OWRS could sell Long Beach
because they do not own Long Beach. Long Beach owns Long Beach. OWRS owns
some used office equipment and tools.
Wrong.

Why did the IRL go after LB then?

All too easy...

See my last post.

You now have zero credibility. Just like McShick and any other

That does not mean anything. There is nothing so special about Long Beach
that the IRL could possibly need it. There is no good reason for Tony
George to want to buy something that does not even exist. K&F bought into
Long Beach when they still had a racing series. And the only reason that
they even had that was because they had not yet spent all of the
stockholders money. Now they have nothing and nothing to sell.

In what could only be considered a moment of total frustration Robin
Miller chews CCWS and their owners a new a$$hole and goes as far as
sugesting they should call TG and sell him their assets. Even RM has
come to recognize the frutality of what is going on at CCWS and just
how much trouble they are in at this time. BTW in one portion of the
commentary it was mentioned that ccws told Panoz to STOP production of
the DP01 as NO more orders will be coming in.

I still stand by my prediction - ChampCar will not make it to 2007
season.

Care to put some money on it?

Of course not, you're a spineless IRL fan....

If ChampCar makes it a couple of races and then folds I still win. One,
two, or three races in and then folding doesn't change things. If they
would fold a few races into the season it just means they were basically
already dead even before the season began - they were running on fumes, so
to say.

Again, I have nothing against ChampCar. They belong in the IRL. Long
Beach and the Australian race rightfully belong to the IRL. It's time for
ChampCar to end their rebellion and join the family.

Men-at-Work were cool Australians. Air Supply made some great love
songs. Steve Irwin was awesome. Paul Hogan was a nice one hit wonder. But
Kevin Kalkhoven? He's like a gold miner showing up in California for the
gold rush a little too late - like in 1948, one hundred years too late.

It would suit your purposes to have the make believe series fold but it
would be even funnier to see Kevin Kalkhoven continue to pay the bills out
of his pocket. The yachtspeople and the polo people fund their high cost
hobbies out of their pockets so I do not see why Kevin Kalkhoven cannot be a
sportman and do the same thing. It is not like he has any fans or sponsors
or automakers to defray the cost. He can pay the entire cost.

Make up your feeble little mind. Now you're a spineless waffler. Do
they start the season or not?

"and these are the rules that I've just made up" Sounds definitely
like a TG devotee....

What in the hell are you talking about?

Two street courses "rightfully" belong to the IRL? A "North American
based oval-oriented racing series" should have two more street races,
one on another continent?

Care to elaborate on that?

I nominate this post by Bag O' the Douche for "Most Ridiculous Post of
2007"

and it's only February...

btw... KK= Self made man

TG= member of "The Lucky Sperm Club"

I think CCWS will start the 2007 season, but I doubt they'll be
around by the end of the year.

As a former CART fan, this quote from RM sums up my feelings since the
2000 season: "The ever-changing driver lineup and lack of Americans
is why it's so hard to follow, or care, about Champ Car."

The only hope for open wheel racing is if CCWS folds into the IRL in
2008. It will take years of rebuilding even if that happens, but the
current situation will eventually result in failure for all.

Reports tonight say RM has been fired by Steve Johnson.

I can`t wait for Wind Tunnel this weekend when he hosts the show in
SpeedTV.
