With the previous mayor and his assistants under indictment for corruption. The current mayor of San Jose' is asking the council to investigate such deals as the last minute back room deal that gave a $4 million subsidy to the promoters of the CCWS event in San Jose'. As a council member Mayor Reed voted against the subsidy. The deal came under fire due to the way it was presented to the council under the cover of darkness so that no community comment was available. The CCWS deal along with the waste disposal deal was a primary factor in the investigation of the former mayor that led to the former mayor's indictment. |

A lot of other subsidies are provided for shopping centers and business since they bring in money. *But these are at the discretion of the city. When politics change, those who give these kinds of subsidies are almost always criticized. *Its just politics as usual. *You fell for it. But its between the city and promoters. *Not CCWS. *I know this really deflates your little attempt to take a legitimate shot at CCWS, but like ALL the previous attempts, you have failed miserably. We're used to your failure. But thanks for playing. |

| As the old saying goes, when you lie with dogs you wake up with fleas. There is a pattern arising when it comes to the people who do business with CCWS and questional practices. As the other saying goes, you are known by the company you keep. |

Poor ChampCar. Now they've even screwed up their race in Denver. |

Denver has a big one-time event in 2008 that may make it impossible to fit Champ Car into the venue's calendar that year. Exactly how has Champ Car mismanaged this? |

The politics in Colorado are almost impossible to deal with. Maybe if Champ Car were an environmental group trying to save the endangered Colorado spotted tree frog, they might have better luck. Remember the Olympics? Its just gotten worse since then. |
