Cotman? Gone. Matos joined Darth Michael's team.

Tony George is an idiot, but he's won. He might be the cow on the top
of the highest dungheap in the feedlot, but he's won. Biggest losers
are Wall Tracy and NHLR, because they're left holding the condom.

Damn all of those idiots at the IRL and CART, etc. I want my effing
open-wheel back.

You are not alone. Now all that has to be decided is what "my effing
open-wheel" is.

This is M I G H T Y old "news".

The glaringly conspicuous fact that the IRL won, five
years ago in 2003, could hardly have been more clearly
obvious to any & all but the exceedingly slow learners.

Judging by the number of people here arguing the contrary, I think we
have a lot of slow learners. ;-)

Look at it this way, at least you're not like someone who I know that
purchased $5,000 worth of equity in CART when they went public!

The poor bugger was staining the sofa when that bozo Chris Pook squandered
his $5,000 and about $110 million more!

As to the statement here about Tony "I don't know" George, the first
part of the sentence seems reasonable,
but it what is it that Tony "won?"

There never being a single one of them to ever deviate
from the expected, that question seems the quintessential
response for the exceedingly slow learner doesn't it.

Ultimately, nothing. He might have won the battle, but he lost the war.
Thanks to Tony's greed and lust for power, there's nothing left of
open wheel.

Control of open wheel racing. Unfortunately, he did not count on the
damage that would be done by the slow learners clinging to
CART/OWRS/CCWS/ChampCar.
