Default STAR MAZDA - America's Savior? - 04-28-2007 , 11:16 PM

Am I wrong or does the Star Mazda series have a ton of young American
drivers in this series? I just watched the Houston Star Mazda race. I'm
impressed. I found
this more entertaining that the boring GP2 race in Bahrain a few weeks ago.

Americans finished first and third in Houston! Sweet.

SpeedTV gave a full hour for this race which was nice. I can't wait for
next weeks race on Speed that takes place on a road course.

Where is Star Mazda at in the pecking order of open wheel racing in the
U.S. and beyond? Do any of these American kids have what it takes to
progress upward?

What's the top speeds these cars reach?

I bet it smells like TG's ass.

I, of course, would have no idea what TG's ass smells like, but I'm
sure dothead could confirm for us.

Star Mazda is being poised by Mazda as a destination for Skip Barber
standouts and as a stepping stone into Atlantics. The Star Mazda series
has some impressive graduates in Champ Car, Atlantics, Indy Pro, and the
IRL. I'm not aware of any former full-time Star Mazda kids who have
worked their way into the European scene, although Scott Speed did a
partial Star Mazda season IIRC.
