One of the most frustrating and amatuerish things about open wheel
racing and the IRL in particular is the inability to produce a schedule
in a timely manner.
They should be creating multi year relationships and maintain schedules
where local fans can plan a year in advance.
This hurts attendance and sponsorship.
It's just another reason why the IRL can't get get any traction as a
major league sport.
It's a shame they lack the vision to recognize this as a major fault.

The "leaders" wonder why HOMESTEAD has such crappy attendance.
It's because we still don't know when it will be so we can't get a damn
hotel room.
I've been there EVERY year since day one, plus EVERY Disney race.
Now I just wonder why I follow such a hollow tour.
Guess I finally wised up after a zillion years.
Better off with a weekend in Nassau.

I've supported TG and the IRL since the beginning but it seems that
after ten years the series is going nowhere. My real burn IS how
unprofessional it is to have the 06 season end and STILL not know when
Homestead will race (where I pay $200 for a Club Seat), a venue they
have been at for years and still can't draw 30,000. And this is one
reason why.
