Yellows? You kidding. On a narrow and dangerous street course, we run more
laps under green then a IRL race runs on a oval. There is simply no
comparison to the skill and speed of these cars as compared to the other
folks that only worried about hiring good looking women to drive.
Considering the number of green laps on a street course so far.......it been
rather amazing...

We had a few issues with the new car..but, then again..that was expected....

For those of us who follow both series, I think the frustration with
the entire affair (both last week and this) is the unrealized
potential. There are glimpses of the true excitement that open wheel
could bring to a mainstream audience, but those are only glimpses.

The depth of competition just isn't what it needs to be in either
series, neither is the marketing, hype, etc., that is keeping open
wheel as little more than a niche sport in these parts.

Until then, I will watch the races but will be hopeful that the thing
will turn itself around - but this CCWS is great and the IRL is lousy
or visa versa adds no value from I can see.

Uh, don't tell me this was a timed event from the start like American
LeMans. Stupid. I would rather watch a forty lap race that takes one hour
to complete than a time race that ends in one hour and forty-five minutes.
Timed events should be the exception, not the rule, like in F1. Touring
cars are made for timed events, not open wheel cars.
