Go, Vitor, Go!!! :-) ALMS: Meira and Gidley Get Highcroft http://www.speedtv.com/articles/auto/alms/32755/ Highcroft Racing, which will begin an association with Honda/Acura for an American Le Mans Series effort next year, seems to already be tabbing into the Japanese manufacturer's pool of open-wheel expertise: the squad has tabbed two open-wheeler, current IRL IndyCar ace Vitor Meira and former CART and IRL "supersub" Memo Gidley, for next weekend's Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta. |

Is Vitor out of an IRL ride? You're obviously not much of a racing aficionado . Are you? It's not unusual for drivers from o/w to take the "third seat" in a sports car endurance race. Follow the Grand-Am series 6 / 9 hour events, Petit Lemans or Sebring and see for yourself. |
