It would have been far easier to get in the car and try rather than to unstrap. PJ made the right decision, yet it still took more courage than any I have seen at Indy in a very long time. |

Nice stuff by Mark. Makes me want to watch the race next week. |

Until 1996 to 1998. I think that I had a tee time or was fishing. It didn't matter then. I still like to watch it. It still ranks as notable racing event. |

It is the top racing event in the world. People with brains don't need to see fans in the stand to realize they are watching the premier open wheel racing series in the world. If the stands were full at Indy now like they were in years past all the people bashing the Indy 500 would change their tune - Oh! It's the greatest thing I ever saw! We know the Indy 500 is still the greatest race. 24 Hours of Le Mans, Monaco GP, and on top - the Indy 500. |

No, it isn't. NASCAR has quite a few events that top it in the USA, and it has become relatively irrelevant in the international scene. Several drivers, including an Indy 500 winner, have made that assertion and my associates in the racing community from 4 other continents concur. Well, with that decision, I guess the matter is settled. Care to take on |

What did the ambassador from Antarctica have to say? Get real. |

| Thanks for pointing out the lack of racing knowledge in the Le Mans/F1 officials. I'll be certain to inform them of their deficiencies and lack of insight. Don't forget their bias and prejudice, too. Am I supposed to be impressed? |
