Default Where's Everybody Going to Watch Indy? - 05-21-2007 , 08:02 AM

I was just curious to see what arrangements different folks have for
watching the Indy 500 this year.

This coming weekend is the Grand-Am event at Lime Rock, which I'll be
working. There is no racing on Sunday so the management sets up some fun
stuff for workers, officials, race teams, etc. I'll spare you folks the
details, but basically Sunday will be a huge free BBQ, free beer & wine,
and the Indy 500 projected on a huge-ass screen. I'll try to hang out
with the SCCA Pro guys and try to get some info on what's happening with
Trans-Am (heard some interesting rumors at the double regional club race
this weekend).

So, what are you folks doing?

I will be sitting high up in turn 2. You can get a great view from the
Southeast Vista.

Most likely laying in my bed watching it delayed on my DVR Sunday night.
Too busy during the day to watch it live (with the exception of the
Tracy non-pass year, I don't think I've watched it live since 1995).

I'm not going to watch the gIRL Mindy car race.
In fact no one I know is or gives a shit about it. Were doing something
interesting that day.

Sleeping!

Disenfranchised open-wheel racing fan (I don't discriminate--I "time
shift" Indy, ChampCar, and F1 [well, there I'm usually just too lazy to
get up that early on a Sunday ;-) ]).

Heck, I even DVR-delay Wind Tunnel about an hour on Sunday nights too :-)
