Is Cherokee factory carpet bonded to floor pan?

Does any know if the factory carpeting ('96 Jeep Cherokee) is glued to the
floor or just held down by the trim?

Held down by the trim. Underneath the rubber backed carpet is a cotton/felt
padding. The padding holds moisture that can't dry because of the backing on
the carpet. then guess what happens.
