Jeep 2000 Grand Cherokee. Bought Michelin Cross Terrain tires (245/70/16) three years ago, and put 74,000 miles on them. Now, I can't find these same tires anywhere. Not at Sears/ Walmart/ Sam's Club/ Sun Tire/ etc, and many online outlets. I liked these tires because they were very **quiet** and seemed to have decent traction. I do "some" driving in snow, but not a lot, but that does matter do me. Based on your own actual experience, can any of you recommend the closest **Michelin** replacement ? Again, I got 74K out of these tires, and they were the quietest tires that I have ever had, so I am very inclined to stay with Michelin. Comments please, on similar, **Michelin** tires ?? |

Thank You !! James Darn, I have Michelin cross terrain on my 01 grand that I may need to replace soon. As you I really like them...but I have 17 inch and the 17 inch sizes are much more expensive than the 16 inch to replace for some reason. So one positive is that you are lucky to have 16 inch wheels. Larry Some claim the Latitude Tour is the Michelin recommended replacement. http://www.michelinman.com/tires/suv-crossover/latitude-tour/ or the Tour HP http://www.michelinman.com/tires/suv-crossover/latitude-tour-hp/ The MS/2 also has the silica tread enhancer, and if it lasts anything like its predecessor, you Jeep may wear out first: http://www.michelinman.com/tires/suv-crossover/ltx-ms2/ |
