Sounds like a nice deal.

If you want the smooth ride that the car had when new. you're stuck getting
something like the original Goodyear Eagle GA's. Not cheap.Goodyear Invicta
GA's are a good, not expensive substitute, if you want the soft, quiet ride.
I use BFG Touring TA's (149 mph speed rating) on our '92 and am quite happy
with them, though they are not quiet or smooth as the originals. They handle
much better, though and are M+S rated.

Check Tire Connection. They have loads of owner reviews available for all
kinds of tires. Also check Consumer Reports.

Ice cold A/C, no rattles or funny suspension vibes. But it needs
tires...what
are the best for this car? I'm sure some of you long-time LS400 owners
have
some experiences to share...Michelins for $164/ea. just seem a little
pricey.
Thanks.

Give Bridgestone a look. Recently replaced Michelins on my 96 ES300 with
Bridgestone Terransa (spl?) touring. There are a lot quieter than the
Michelins, and ride extremely smooth.

Thought I'd loose performance to gain that ride, but these really grip. Did an
aggressive high speed brake test that nearly threw me out of my seat. Excellant
wet stopping traction too (much better than Michelins). I don't roadrace, but I
never saw any signs of plow or wallow on Washington's Beltway even at 30 mph
over speed limit... appreciate both the smooth riding tires and Lexus
suspension on that thing!
