I´ve just come back from a 6 week driving trip to Russia and the Ukraine. I
had already been to both countries, but driving through them gives you a new
look on things. I was amazed at the number of Lexus GX 470 on the road. They
seem to be all over the place, specially in the Ukraine.
Lexus Europe will not sell you this model in Europe; they were not Japanese
models, since the steering wheel was on the left. So, they must have come
from the Americas, mainly the US and Canada.Or, perhaps, Lexus sells them in
this part of the world.
Car theft is big in these countries. And here is my question, to you guys in
America: has there been a significant amount of vehicle theft cases
involving this model, or were all these SUV legit, having been purchased
through legal channels?.
