Default Now What? - 10-21-2006 , 09:03 PM

1999 ES300 with 4 speed overdrive and 108K miles.
The "Check Engine " light and the "TRAC off" light popped on at the same
time.
I have been driving the car for 2K miles like that and I see no difference
in the way it runs, starts or shifts or anything.
What are these two lights "on" supposed to mean.
Thanks,

CH

The two lights on mean that you should have the computer's codes scanned so
you or a technician have a place to start diagnosis.

on the off chance that it may be wiring related. Check the harness in
your trunk lid. Mine was crimped and caused both of those lights to
come on. The harness gets worn through right where the harness
follows the U hinge on the trunk lid.
