Set the mini display inside your speedometer gauge to blank, turn off
the engine, press the odometer reset button simultaneously with the
ignition button for at least seven seconds, voila!

Does your car have the navigation system?

press the odo button until display shows "trip a"
turn car off
press and hold the odo button
with your foot off the brake, press the start button twice
watch as the little dashes in the odo display disappear until the
miles are displayed again

Oops, sorry, I thought you said ES. For the GS:
open up your little button drawer, push the odo button until it says
odo.
turn car off
press and hold the reset button
with your foot off the brake, press the start button twice
everything else is the same...

Just had a service and therefore cannot try it again. Will do so when the
next alert comes around.

Thanks.

I don't know if the GS is set up the same as my LS, but with navigation, hit
the "menu" button, then select "information" then select the maintenance
menu, then select the items you want to reset. You should be able to view
remaining miles to oil change as well as reset the counter/timer.
