Very sorry about the confusion; I just found my message (and the
response).

i honestly don't know if my original post was there all along, and I
just didn't see it; I do know that I should given my post an original
name (as I usually do) instead of just leaving it at Re: Lexus oil
change interval is only 5000 miles? This may have made it more
difficult to keep track of the post.

Much thanks to you, Ray O; at least YOUR response was constructive
and helpful. I especially appreciate your remarks about oil viscosity
and tires. BTW, I wasn't able to access tirerack,com using WebTV, but
I'll try soon on a computer.

As for the rest of the group, I do appreciate the Wikipedia reference
from St.John Smythe. I'll read it sometime.

I know nothing about WebTV so I don't know if there is a difference in web
sites that you can see with it as opposed to a conventional computer with
internet access. By the way, it is tirerack.com with a period (.), not a
comma (,).
