Default fan doesn't work. 1985 500selAMG - 03-11-2007 , 03:08 PM






fan has quit blowing. Any setting any temperature, it won't work. Fuse is
OK. replaced anyway and tested with circuit tester on both sides of fuse.
No noise or anything from fan. Has worked perfectly with no problems. car
has not beeen driven much in last two years. any ideas??

Which fuse are you checking? There is a strip fuse outside the fuse
box, its 30 amp aluminum.

yeah, i saw reference to that strip fuse on a google search, mine does not
have one (at least not around fuse box or driver fender anyway). Could be
because it is euro model.

Do you have voltage at the fuse?

If no: you have a bad electrical portion of the ignition switch.

Circuit 15X comes from the ign switch and only feeds the blower motor because it is such a high amp
draw.
