There is vent flaps in the trunk. On W126, it is located in the side pockets in the trunk toward the spare tire There should be a hole and a rubber flap on each side. Pretty big oval hole. I am wondering if someone replaced those side pockets as a possibility of rust. Without this vent, your AC won't work well either... there got to be some vent to prevent building up pressure as you drive faster. |

I' have to look for the flaps. One thing that is cool about this car is that there no rust. Not in the fender arches. Not at the bottom of the doors. Not under the window. I think that it spent most of its life in Southern CA. "Tiger" <tiger0002 (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> wrote in message news:4a4f5f8e$0$5933$607ed4bc (AT) cv (DOT) net... There is vent flaps in the trunk. As does my '01 Porsche 911 coupe. Purpose is unknown, but apparently does not have to do with a cloth top. Mike "Kenneth P.
