Default indicators - 09-08-2005 , 04:43 AM






well back on the road but now got probl;em with indicators. lhs front doesnt
light but bulb fine.,also side and rear lhs do flash but at a fast speed ,rhs
functions fine and when i switch my hazards on all is good apart from the
front lhs is still off but rest flash at normal speed so is this a wire off
from the lhs front indicator?

Check the earth wires.

Also a new flasher can an electronic one does the trick.

Yep. Start at the indicator and work back towards the switches looking
for duff connections.

The fast flash is meant to happen if one bulb doesn't light.

remove the bulb holers & clean or replace as needed, they are only about 3
pound each in the uk, so may be worth fitting a new pair,

Wire usually goes just behind the grill where the indicator plugs into
the under bonnet wiring loom. Cut the old connectors off, strip the old
wire back and see how corroded it is !! Then fit new connections and the
whole lot should be sorted.

All of the below plus check out your relay switch lucas part, could be metal
or plastic depending on age, about the size of a 10p piece
