Also check the tappet chest covers (if your engine has them) When they
leak it can look as if they're leaking from everywhere except the tappet
covers !

I have also yet to see a mini leaking from the sump gasket.

Try all the seals, tappet cover gasket, side cover gaskets,

First clean the engine down, you can place newspaper on the ground,
under the sump, when parked to locate where the drip is tracking from.

Yeah check the rocker cover gasket as these go hard with age and allow
oil to leak down the back. It's best to remove the old gasket
completely, fit a new one, use a bit of that gasket glue stuff to help
secure it in position and then gently bolt the rocker cover down, but
don't over-tighten as it will warp the cover, no just tighten until it
pinches down.

Might be worth adjusting the tappets while it's off?

I glue the rocker cover gaskets to the rocker covers with evo stick, leaving
the bottom edge where it sits on the head dry, never had one leak yet, it
takes the heat too,

Steve.

I just put a bit of grease around the top of the gasket to hold it there
whilst I put the thing on. Like wise I've never had one leak
