Right tried sighing up for the German Server, but they charge for the
obligation of using their service, so I didn't bother as I'm paying
enough for broadband here as it is.

I think I might e-mail those cheap56k people though and find out what's
taking them so long to fix the bloody problem?

I use news.btinternet.com, but btinternet took 18 months of phone calls
to
agree that I was on broadband and not "pay as you go" Just a load of
fairies
when you need help and advice.

Thanks Fitzy and I tried the "news.btinternet.com" account you
recommended, but it then refuses to subscribe to any accounts as I get
the error message:- "480 authentication required."

So I guess I really need to be registered with BT to use that service
and I'm with Wanadoo and they stopped doing newsgroups a while back as
their useless and that free service one i'm with now for newsgroups
called "news.cheap56k.com" hasn't worked for weeks!

Oh well at least I can reach you all via Google groups anyway I
suppose.
