Haven't heard it before Mate. And I have actually traveled out of my state -
lol.

Now f**k of I've heard that one, but I know you won't be telling that to a
total stranger half way acroos the world would yah? And a fellow Mini
hobbyist at that too.

Have a nice work week coming up Tim and get that prescription filed out now
..

PS: Is there an eBay for NZ and do you have other suggestions for looking
for NZ Minis?

For Melbourne, Australia, the main advertising point for secondhand
cars, particularly older ones, is undoubtedly the Melbourne Trading

This is the kind of door on the car I am looking for. Any thoughts, help,
guidance

Why Graham? Safety, lack of spares, etc?

Because the doors with the lift up door handle, as shown in the pic, do
not match the lock striker in the UK design B pillar. They are
completely different - you'd have to cut out a section of either the
door or the pillar and weld in the matching parts.

If you want to fit Aussie doors with a quarter vent window and a wind
down window to a car which originally had the sliding windows then you
must choose doors with the UK Mk1 type door handle and latch mechanism.

I don't understand why people like these doors so much... half the fun
about owning a MK1 is confusing people with the little slidey windows
*grin*
