Well I believe they make small twin cone shaped filters for this
application.

There doesn't look to be that much clearance at the back, would it need one
filter per carb, or do they make a joint one ??

Any body any ideas on performance issues though??? Someone mentioned all it
would really do is make the engine louder which is not really the desired
effect.

Thanks

You might like to pop over to www.minidean.btinternet.co.uk home of the
RSP Cooper register.

There is a forum, called 'Ask Doddy' which is 'manned' by AC Dodd...an
absolute genius with A series engines.

Post on there and he'll give you a full and honest reply.

From what I can gather, fitting K&N's can be a hit-and-miss affair. Some
people swear by them, others reckon a modded airbox is the better
option.

I have twin K&N's on my 30 Cooper and I'd rather get rid, but I have to
keep them for originality.

Hi

I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade the performance of my 1990
Mini
Cooper S by adding K&N cone filters to the twin SU carbs.
Is this even possible ?? At the moment its has a ring filter (don't know
technical name).

Any suggestions, ideas or comments would be appreciated.

Thanks
