Hi Apparently I need new strut knuckles in the front. Is this a hard job to do? Are there any tricks? I'm sure I can get the parts, I'm not sure I can install them properly. Cheers Dan |

Is this a hard job to do? Not really. Getting the top suspension arm out can be a tricky job. The main trick is that.... |
Are there any tricks? ... you need a cone compressing tool, which is unique to Minis. And you need one with the right thread to fit your donuts, since some are imperial and some are metric... |
| ... unless of course it's a hydro Mini, in which case you need a hydro pump. |
I'm sure I can get the parts, I'm not sure I can install them properly. Traps: Wrong thread for your donuts on the compressor tool. Make sure you've got it right. Getting the pivot shaft out of the top arm. Damaged top arm, hole for knuckle ground deeper, causes drroped front suspension. |
Anyone else got any more traps? |
